Chapter 12 "Truck Lessons"

I had read the chapter 12 "Truck Lessons." The beginning of this chapter starts from the conversation of Debbie and Lenny about Hector. After they finish talking, they started to watch radio show in Lenny’s car. While they watched it, the cool pickup appeared in front of Lenny’s car. Then Debbie had begun to be interested in the car. Lenny notice the change of Debbie, she negotiated with the son of the owner of the car. At first, the owner refused because of watching on TV. However, his son persuaded him, and he made his son teach how to ride the car for Debbie. Son’s practice, Lenny’s explanation helped Debbie, Debbie started to be able to ride the car sooner.

While they explain how to ride for Debbie, I pictured about my best friends. Three of all, they proposed that they possessed the car license to me. In Japan, you have to go the training institute for three month and pay lots of money to take the exam to possess the license. Total until the end of training of money is about 300,000 yen (about 140,000 Bath) Japan treats the car license as the license of government official. Therefore, person who has no one is punished heavily by the low. When I had read this depiction, I was wondering about Debbie’s age because I thought they are still student. Japanese age limit of the car is 18. How old is your country’s age limit of the car?

While I had read this chapter, specialized words about the car appeared many time. Therefore, strategy that I used is to use the dictionary. And I predict the next chapter is that Debbie and her friend will go to sea by Debbie’s driving. I want to do it with my friends when I will get the license of the car.

All The Year Of Her Life

I read “All the year of her life” which Morley Callaghan wrote. This story starts from the scene which a boy named Alfred stole some products from the store where Mr. Carr manages and Alfred works. After his mother negotiated with Mr. Carr, Alfred was released from catching himself. The points we should surprise is that His mother, Mrs. Higgins, does not hit her son completely. Alfred wants to tell her, “she was smooth.” It is for her negotiation at the store.

We discussed what’s happen if Mrs. Higgins changes Mr. Higgins. If I imagine it, I surprised again because of Mrs. Higgins who did not hit her son. Most of groups pictured that Mr. Higgins surely hit his son. So that to say, it is natural that parents hit own son/daughter who has stone something.

The strategy that I used was “I guess or predict what the text is about.” I have similar experience with Alfred, therefore, I was able to predict about him if Mr. Higgins knows what Alfred did.

Chapter 11 “Hector’s first song”

This week, I read chapter 11 “Hector’s first song” of Criss Cross, which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. Chapter 11 starts Hector starts singing. The first part is sung by voice of girls, the second by Hector. That’s how Hector hears it in his head. His singing is referenced “It was kind of a Motown thing.” Hector had to need the three chords he had already learned. But more chords are possible for him.

When I have read the scene that Hector plays and sings while his concert, I pictured about my friends, three boys in the school I had gone to before I have came Thailand. By I left high school, they were still practicing the music. I had known they did their best, and I had known I would not be able to see their concert. In addition I have been known that they played the concert at the party of graduators from their air-mail. When I have read the scene that Hector plays and sings while his concert, there is not Hector in my imagination. There are my friends, and my friends play and sing the music they had practiced with utmost effort. While I have read this part of the story, I remember and compared the story with my experiences and memory, and it helped me to picture how he think and sing.

I predict the next chapter. The next will change the view point to audience from player at his concert. Debbie and her sister and friends will come to see Hector’s song.

The Enchanted Garden

I read the book called "The Enchanted Garden" which was written by Italo Calvino. When I have read it, I felt that the place in the enchanted garden is the place we cannot experience even once in our life. (The rich Thai may do it.) At the same time, I felt a boundary line between rich person and common citizen. The author is seemed of trying to tell us the enchanted garden is the game that was forbidden. There are the boy in beautiful house and has the illness and two children in the story, but they had had nothing to do with rich and poverty and they were not able to be satisfied there. Giovannino and Serenella were afraid of being to catch, and the rich boy was suffering from the illness. The enchanted garden is place where is forbidden for them.

When I have read this story, I used a reading strategy, which is called "When text becomes difficult, I read aloud to help me understand what I read." When rich boy appears, I got confuse because of change of character. Then I thought he is Giovannino at first time. After I have re-read 2 or 3 times, I used another strategy, which called “I use picture drawings, tab les, and maps in text to help me understand better what I am reading” I take the note about what there are surrounding them and their activity when the characters changed.

Beautiful Garden

I am going to put some pictures about the garden.

A garden in the below is the garden which is the most beautiful that I have looked. This is a garden of the temples where there is a grave of Hideyoshi Toyotomi who was the general who ever unified Japan.

Gardem in the below is  in the Imperial Palace. The name of this flower is a cluster amaryllis. This flower has four English names, and it has Japanese names more than 1,000. English names are red spider lily, cluster belladonna, cluster amaryllis, and manjusaka. This flower is my favorite one.

Chapter 10 “Conversation in the Dark: Brilliant Eskimo thoughts”

This week, I read chapter 10 “Conversation in the Dark: Brilliant Eskimo thoughts” of Criss Cross, which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. Chapter 10 starts from the scene, in which Hector practice singing the song and playing the guitar with his band member. In half way, Debbie and her friends visit to see their scene of practice. Everyone praises Hector’s skill as a singer. And the day of his concert comes at the end of this chapter.

In this chapter, the form of the format becomes stage direction looks like a novel of William Shakespeare. Stage direction is the form used to read in the practice of the play. In addition, each initial of the conversation of Hector’s band member becomes question mark.
“?: It does help to wear nice clothes and comb your hair, though. ”
“?: Then you can be a neat ugly person.”
This conversation is at the end of this chapter. From letter mart, all conversation becomes the same with upper conversation. Their conversation reminds me of culture week of G-10. Then all Japanese of G-10 has performance of Japanese traditional dance, and we waited the time of our turn behind big curtain on the stage. This experience made me excite as I read their conversation. Furthermore, this chapter has only the conversation. I experienced to read similar novel in English, so I did not feel anguish.

I predicted his concert starts from this chapter when I read the chapter 9. It mistake, his concert will start from next chapter. I predict that Hector’s singing will attract a couple of people.

Chapter 9-Criss Cross

This week, I read chapter 9 “Guitar Lessons” of Criss Cross, which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. Chapter 9 starts from the scene, in which Hector picks guitar up and starts thinking what the metal is. Then he asks himself what the metal is, he and answers himself that the metal is the kind of girl who fell in love with football players. And his practice of the guitar started with his band members. Then he is concentrating but he could not stop himself. He starts singing because he likes singing. Other members begin to like his voice; Hector is chosen the vocal of next concert.

I like to listen to the real concert and watch it. This chapter reminds me three of my best friends. They and I was the student in same class in Japan. Japan’s high school career has three years, and I had had only one year at the same school because my father’s transmission. When I was grade-10 (it was in Japan), my friends joined the selection to play the music for alumnus. I could not use the musical instrument, so I always watch they practiced the guitar, bass and drums. As the result, they could not be chosen the member to play in front of all students.

This memory makes me imagine easily what I am reading. Hector’s guitar appears clearly in my brain, bass and drums of other members, too. Although there is not explanation of their expression, I was able to imagine that they play the music enjoyably. After I read it, I ask my self the question what the metal is. The metal is the music that is not belonged to only lock in my definition. Therefore Hector’s picture is not wrong; football is the sport of lots of people. So I agree with Hector’s imagination.

This chapter finished before Hector’s concert starts. Therefore, I predict his concert will start at next chapter.

Chapter 8-Criss Cross

This week, I read chapter 8 of Criss Cross, which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. Chapter 8 starts from the scene, Debbie and her father struggle for the repair of the Basin Wrench. While their conversation about the Basin Wrench, the under kitchen sink is becoming gradually stained, even though When they found the instruction how to repair the basin wrench.

This chapter reminds me when I was still child. I have a memory that I watched that my father played video games in front of me. He is always strict about games. If I disturb his game, I was always gone away from the room. When his game broke, he started repairing as same as Debbie’s father. Do you know Nintendo? That game is made by Nintendo, which has white and red colors and to controller. (figure 1)
I liked to see he repaired the game. My oldest memory is also he played the video game. Therefore, I compare my experience with this chapter to understand and sympathy their atmosphere and feeling.

In my prediction, Hector’s sister appears again. I like their conversation because it is a thing I could not do. I want to read it.

Chapter 7-Criss Cross

I am reading Criss Cross, which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. Chapter 7 starts from scene which Lenny’s smoking time and everyone for except Lenny shows their expression that hate his cigarette. Chapter 7 is founded about Lenny and his old memory. When he was very young, he likes his parents very much so as to collect to watch their presents carefully, and he was very smart. He always felt the school is boring, so his habit is reading the book. His parents showed him many things which are conglomerate, quartzite, sandstone, bottle cap and cigarette butt. Then Lenny felt the satisfaction of understanding something in his mind and making it become real with his hands. And the end of this chapter, he explains to people who don’t like his smoking why he started smoking. He said “it is my father’s DNA”

In this chapter, I felt tiredness from an appearance of many characters. Just now, I am drawing the picture of their faces. But I don’t have ability to draw the picture, therefore I am about to borrow the picture from the magazines that I have. When I finish drawing them, I will put my pictures on my blog.

I really understood his process of growth because my mother also smoke too much. I think most of children are certainly influenced by own parents. My habits, which to like video games and magazines and to smoke are the same with my parent’s habit.
I want to know about you. Do you have the same habit with your parents?

After I finish reading this chapter, I noticed that each chapter of this novel doesn’t have the relatedness each other. Therefore, it is impossible to predict the next story. Even now, I have no image about next chapter.

Girl by Jamaica

Although the person has the worst characteristic, it is fact that the person is surely not the worst from the beginning. It is my cherished opinion. I think and believe that there is certain the past that formed the character of the person by all means. I have a friend abused by mother. The reason that he was abused is his parents were the couple who married again. In addition, he was a child of father. Therefore, I cannot label her as worst mother. If Girl’s mother is not really bad, I can predict easily next story to interpret how she became so.

I had A Hero

What is a hero for you?
I read "I Had A Hero", which Mike Tidwell wrote. In this story, tow men appear, one is Mike who understands how to make pond, and another is Ilunga who hoped it for fish. In the story, Mike is asked to dig the pond for fish by Ilunga, and they starts digging the pond fifteen by twenty meters with shovel. On the way, Mike became bad condition but Ilunga does not stop digging until he finishes. And Mike feels his way ought to be a hero.

When I was reading it, I drew the pictures to understand what I read. These pictures are the scene of fatigue duty of Mika and Ilunga."the work is like a marathon. If you go too fast, you invite physical ruin. If you go too slow, you may never finish" (paragraph 14) And there are the peculiar words of the place they dig; therefore, I used a dictionary many times. And I took note such words to remember if such words appear again. These three strategies helped me to read the story smoothly well.

If this story could continue, I predict Ilunga will succeed to teach people how to raise fish to other person from Mika with his dream.

Chapter 6-Criss Cross

I am reading Criss Cross, which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. Chapter 6 started from the scene which Debbie and Patty change own cloth. They told varied sort of subject, and Debbie started talking about turquoise, which white and orange plaid double-knit bellbottoms and jeans that she bought with her mother.

In chapter 6, there are few difficult words so I did not use a dictionary as them. Furthermore, the sentence of chapter 6 is not difficult, too. However, chapter 6 is told about girl’s garments, sentence is easy but many kinds of names of girl’s garments are I had to use a dictionary to understand what I read.

When I read it, it makes me remind about buying garments. I knew everyone has own sense as it, indeed, there were lots of people who insisted own sense to me in Japan. And I learned the cloth is a part of oneself from them. In chapter 6, I felt Debbie’s consideration what she wants and does not want, everyone is serious when buying or choosing the cloth. When I choose my cloth, I always ask it how it looks good on me. I want to ask all reader. What do you think when you buy the cloth?

Criss Cross-chapter 5

I am reading Criss Cross, which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. In chapter 5, to watch the radio show became a habit of Debbie and Hector. She invited her friend Patty to watch it, Hector and his male friends became chivalrous, like gentleman, in front them. While they watched the radio show, she was tempted by his smile and had a smile. All men started dancing with all girls because they have not watched her smile until them, they were enjoying well. As the end of dancing, she stepped on Hector’s foot. She apologized him. “I kind of liked it” He said it as a joke. I infer that the author wanted to picture the scene, which her mind started changing and growing up. I can see her changeable and growth from this chapter and it reminds me common pleasure assumes human relations it smoothly.

In chapter 5, there are few difficult words that I needed use a dictionary and took a note. I think this novel is consisted of easy words and unusual words, so it is easy for me to read it if unusual words do not appear in the story. However, this novel makes me think keenly and deeply. The reason is that the author tries to make profound meaning by easy words. So I must read sentences more than once.

When I read it, I felt pleasure from this chapter. Because I also like the radio. When I was in Japan, there were few friends who listened to the radio like them. Probably, this is a problem of the times. Therefore I wish that their relationship which is consisted of a radio show continue. But I expect that the radio show does not appear in the next chapter because the next is Hector’s chapter. This novel crisscrosses. A radio show is her important article. It is not his article.

This chapter reminds me the time when my few friends and I had listened the radio together 1:00 a.m. of every Sunday.

After thoughts, The Wisdom of Toads

After I read The Wisdom of Toads, my thought has changed a little. He told that he thought running away with Karen could solve everything; it means he had consciousness of sin. And his criminal was on the mutual understanding of man and Karen, even he who was the teacher may explained running way is the criminal to her. He does not indicate not only resentment but also angry as her. I felt so. He called himself “hardly a father except a title”, and he recognizes his criminal is betrayal with Karen. I like such a father. My thought has changed to good will from disgust as this story.

The wisdom of Toad

I read the Wisdom of Toads, which Ken Lamberton wrote. This is about the story of a man who is in the prison and puts family outside of the prison. He has three daughters, who are Jessica, kasondra, Melissa, and he wants to influence them as much as possible. The reasons why he spends in the prison are things that he got married with Karen When he was Karen’s teacher and she was 14 years old. In the paragraph 14 and 15, Karen went back to school of the criminal law to study the law behind his crime to save him, and the judge gives him the release on parole to live with children.

When I read it, I confused reading technical terms about the court and the judgment. I used the reading strategies “I use a dictionary to help me understand what I read” and “When text becomes difficult I re-read it to increase my understanding”. However, this text is still too difficult to read for me, even though I use two strategies. But I hound my original strategies “When unknown words increase, I take a notebook to put down and define them”. I sometimes forget the word that I defined once. Therefore, if I can look the notebook which wrote a word immediately, as for it, it is a tool helping most for me.

In the story, it surprises me that men’s conviction and his activities in the prison. As for his conviction and activities, I think they should not be allowed in the society. But I felt he is kind person from the novel. A paragraph 10 is filled his love for his children, I begun to like him as I read it. I wish he will be happy with his family.

I predict he will tell thanks which couldn't be better for Karen who is his wife. I think his temporary release is consisted of his wife’s efforts. He also understands his life in the prison is the betrayal as his wife. I expect that Karen appears in front of him. She studied the law behind his crime to save him, and she saved him temporarily from the prison. I think she is feeling pleasure.

And, I found mp3 of The wisdom of Toad.

the summer the sun did not blow up

I am easy to be swayed by a rumor. When I was in grade nine, someone told me that we need credit in fencing and curling to graduate from RIST.  Because my classmate  said so and because i was new to the school I believed him. When I read "the summer the sun did not blow up", which Birmati Lakhan wrote, I suggested myself from children in the novel. I think to believe is very important characteristic but sometimes it become fault.

“the summer the sun did not blow up” is wrote by Birmati Lakhan. In this story, started since small rumor spread radically among the childlen. The children discussed keenly to make idea can resolve problem index is “the sun would break”. But that rumor stopped as it arrived by the parents. The children were angered by their parents but they were swayed by a rumor again. That rumor is the sun would not commit sin. I think only one thing that childlen is happy because there are people scold as bad things.

I used three strategies. One of all, it is to try to go back and re-read when I lose my concentration. Second of all, it is to pay closer attention to what I am reading when text becomes difficult. I have a certain habit that to read slovenly if I lose my concentration. So I tied to do it when I feel text becomes difficult or losing my concentration. To re-read text is very useful technique for me. And last of all, it is to use a dictionary to help me understand what I read. There are three words I do not understand in the story. It is not only this story but also all novels to use these strategies. If I read difficult novel that I can not read smoothly over again with a dictionary, even I can understand it generally: therefore this technique is always useful for me.

chapter 4 "radio show"

I read chapter 4 of “Criss Cross” which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. As I was reading it, I knew a fact of the surprise. Hector has already known Debbie. It is really surprising fact because each chapters I read did not imply their relationship. I expected a story of the sadness and love story that they appear in crisscrossing each chapters and came across someday. It is a shock really. But I must clean this slate to write next.

In this chapter, Hector plays with their friends. There is not detail description in the novel. Surely this is not important for the story. After they played, Debbie is sleeping their car. I want to read this chapter again, but there is not really detail description how they did. Then one of Hector’s friend, Lenny notices the car of another friend, named Phil, can watch the radio show. Just this timing, Debbie awakes. Everyone recommend to watch it to her. She begins to watch as she feels bewilderment. (I beat fast when I imagine the scene.)
As a result, she is satisfied that radio show. But everyone who watched radio show is confused by the last question appeared in the radio show. I am also confusing yet.“What do you get when you cross a (something) with a (something else)? Joke.”

The theme of Criss Cross

The book I am reading is Criss Cross which Lynne Rae Perkins wrote. This book always makes me consider how we should live a day. Title of Criss Cross is meaning just to crisscross. There are two main characters in the story, and they appear in the story reciprocally.

The reason is that they had not been satisfied well. One of main character is Debbie, she always wished something happen. That something is including not only pressure but also grief. She is waiting something happen. This her way of living makes me consider how I thought and lived past-days. She is thinking and living for her identity, but I do not do so. She demands a meaning of her existence. However, I spend meaningless days without thinking about anything.
Furthermore, Hector who is another chief character is perfect. He can easily perform everything so he is anxious in days. His story advances while he feels doubt in days without the change. His way of life is about to appeal to us for something in the same way as Debbie’s way of life, too. It is the sadness without the purpose in the day. When I read his story, I felt so. In chapter 1 to 4, I think they are waiting something happen. It is to discover their purpose and something they lives for, and interpret their way of live is just this novel’s theme.

Boys, Dogs, Science Fiction.

In the chapter three, Debbie came back in the story. The name of chapter three is “Boys, Dogs, Science Fiction.” I understood that the constitution of this book, which named Criss Cross, crisscrosses in the same way as a title. Chapter three treats the story that Debbie and her younger sister Chrisanne and neighbor Tesey lay prostrate on their chaise lounges. There is specialized rule among Chrisanne and Tesey, it is that one of them must have said something to Debbie. But she does not notice they ask her, she ignores them and begins to read a book. When she finished the last page, suddenly she tosses the book down on the grass. As I read that sentences, I interpreted that book could not satisfied her. When I am also unsatisfactory, I read books well: however, a book has not satisfied my desire. That book she read is science fiction novel, it treats about telepathy. She was interested in telepathy first: however, loneliness occurred in her heart when she began to think about telepathy. I knew she should have been able to talk with boy in the middle of a normal conversation, but she does not decide this way. When she notices, her dog, Cupcake, who was is sitting in the grass a few away from her. When her neck-scratching transported him to a state of bliss and he offered her his throat for scratching, she wishes if boys could be more like dogs. For the reason that he already found everything what her interesting and important are.

I strongly sympathize with her. The impatience, which is important to find what I want to do, is very hard. In my expectation, her desire will be satisfied by meeting Hector. .

monster parents

Today, I read the time. That time is not recent published one. It is I received by my tutor to up my ability to read English. It was published on June 7. It treats “Japan's 'monster' parents take centre stage.”

An article the time treated is that monster parents falsified the story of the Snow White that kindergarteners planed to do it in a recital. Its process is monster parents sued it is so sadness and bad things for children that only one girl can perform the snow white princess, therefore, they made children’s teacher fired by complaining the boss of that teacher, and they made an unit founded monster parents to make their snow white. When I knew index of their snow white, I laughed and angered and grieved. There are 25 snow whites in the story. Can you understand their story? An answer is really simple. They thought only one girl can perform the snow white is so sadness for children, therefore, they made all girl students perform the snow white. They are mad and crazy and brazen and unscrupulous.

Now, Japan is worrying about such a person called monster parents. Their characteristic is only one thing; it is over-love of their child. The event I remember latest is about a shoplifting of children. Recently, their shoplifting of books and games is increasing. I think the mother should anger the children who did commit shoplifting: however, such parents called monster parents do not do anger them. Conversely, they sue the owner of the shop that was shoplifted by their children because why the book shop puts the book at the place where even child can steel easily. They are crazy and mad.

To be honest, I thought Japan is very good country as compare with other country because we are held on the Statute Books. This Statute Book is the most important why I thought Japan is good country. Japan had Japanese low until the result of Japan’s lose was apparent in the world war two. After the world war two, Japanese low was refused and received the Statute Books by the America. I heard this Statute Book is ideal of America. That is to say Japan is an ideal of America as far as possible. I believed it and made it a proud of Japan. Now I think they are like a neoplasm of Japan. I am feeling embarrassment because of them.

I wish the time comes when they look themselves. If that time comes, all monster parents will surely commit suicide by their rotted behaviors.

the lady or the tiger.

In this story, i read each chapters two or three times as long as i can understand. Of course, i read slowly and carefully to make sure i understand what I am reading. There was a certain king in a faraway country a long time ago.His justice is to accuse the sinner by two kinds of door, which thing that fierce tiger live and another is Lady pushes aside to get married. In that day, the princess’s boyfriend was punished by King. Somehow she wanted to help him and she knew which door is Lady's or Tiger's.When he was commit execution, she pointed the door.

Whis doors he opened?

I predict the door that the Lady lives.

Because, please consider that err was too long ago and she is loyalty. I think there was the system that one man can have several women then. If it is right, the Princess does not need to kill him: therefore, the door that she signed is the Lady's door!!!

And, if it is wrong, she will surely choose the tiger's door. Even I prefer killing a man than being rubbed him.

Hector Goes Into a Sponge State and Has a Satori.

I read a chapter 2 of Criss Cross. I surprised amount of chapter 2. Although chapters 3 and 4 have just 5 pages and 6 pages, chapter 2 has 22 pages. And I was surprised again by the title of chapter 2. The chapter 2’s title is “Hector Goes Into a Sponge State and Has a Satori.” Can you understand why I was surprised? Because this title uses “Satori.” It is Japanese word is meaning Buddhist enlightenment. In the chapter 2, new two characters appear. They are older brother and younger sister, older brother is Hector and younger sister is Rowanne. The first half is written their characteristics and Hector’s behavior. His characteristic is easy to be in Philosophy. When he worries to philosophy, Rowanne suggests going out together. This action relates to the core of this chapter.

They got to Party that Rowanne’s friends have. For while a party, there is not any problem among them. But, Hector does not stop thinking. I have lots of things that I could not understand in his thought and author’s technique of representation. This is the most difficult author’s it” It was colder this way, but he felt it made him look order. Colder but order. Older but colder. Colder and colder, older and older” it appeared during author introduces himself.
Can you explain it easily to me?

Two-headed boy born in Bangladesh

Today, I found a certain article from a news website. A baby has two head was boned in Bangladesh. His name is Kiron. Unfortunately, he was dead after 48 hours since his born. I think he is also one of imposing life. I wish his born. But I have thing that I can not allow. It is that hundred fifty thousand people pushed aside to watch him. A appeals like person who is not common shape is said an incarnation of god in India and Bangladesh. I who have no religion felt they are crazy as I read it. I am wondering why they can come just to watch there, indeed, there may are some people really worry and care him in there. I heard that most of them are not just visitors; they pushed aside to worship him to profit a grace of God. Their thought does not seem to evolve from the Old Stone Age. In my definition, a person is a person; God is a creature of a person. I wish they wake up and slip out of a fantasy and a delusion, and look at a real. I know there are people in the same circumstances. One of them I know joins and lives with commoner. In America, there is a girl in the same circumstances with him. I have watched she played the basket ball, I impressed then.

I wish you do not forget there are such people around the world.

the iphone girl

The blog that I read today deals with about an Asian factory worker called iphone girl, that index is that there are some pictures of Chinese worker girl in new Iphone. The user who bought new I phone were astonished by her, the blog told us. Foxconn, which is the factory that mainly make iphone and ipod in chine, evidenced iphone girl is Foxconn’s worker. From these things, I have two considerations.

One of all, it is to flow the process making I phone to competition company. Even today, her picture got rampancy in around the world. If only girl was in the picture, it’s no problem. But there are equipments to make I phone in the picture, Apple should consider keenly this problem.

Second of all, it is lacking of information. This blog does not have sufficient information. Before I finish reading this article, I thought British believed I Phone was made in Britain. After reading it, I am wondering why this blog pick up such a good-for-nothing article. I think Yahoo should prefer pick such a article that picking about Zimbabwe. Because there are entire people who can not even touch I Phone in the world.

The Telephone

I read a certain novel called The Telephone which Anwar F. Accawi wrote. Before I started reading it, I pretended some ideas what something happen in the story from this title and checked the text even I can read. Because I do not think that I can read it directly: therefore, I must check how it’s difficult and memo to learn by heart. And things that I don’t have to forget are to consider what I am reading while I read it because the duty of reader is to understand why author write is. Therefore, I am carefully to pay attention while reading.

And, I tried them to read The Telephone. To be honest, these words are not difficult but respective sentences are so long. Therefore, I asked myself that it is right or wrong. This novel made me confuse. Because of luck of concentration, Paragraphs I started reading are not from first so that reading was difficult to built imagination about what happened before paragraphs I started reading. I thought novel that does not have contexts is just cipher.

The catch

Hallo, my name is Dai.
This blog is to indicate my reading response.
The name of the novel I chose is Criss Gross. That’s author is Lynne Rae Perkins.
To be honest, I was attracted by a cover and a title.
But that sentence is solid and easy to read even I may finish.
The first chapter is very short and has a deep meaning, therefore, I do not neglect reading it easily.
Chapter 1 that I read is introduction of the stories, and I felt that it showed the root of the chief character.
These are quotations from the chapter 1.
“She wished something would happen”(P1)
And
“Debbie remembered that once, when she was little, she had shouted that she wished everyone would just leave her alone. And then everyone did.” (P4~5)
From these quotations, a miserable was transmitted through her heart.
Main character is Debbie. She seems that she is not in any interesting and waiting something happen.
But she knows not to say her wish easily from her experience. She waited something happen by the end of Chapter1.
My impression is just one word is a lacking.
I think loneliness is not virtue but an immorality.
It does not mean to conclude that an immorality is absolutely bad thing.
However, it cannot be said that it is good unconditionally.
Therefore she prays something happen.

In addition, this novel has clear sentences and metaphor has deep meanings beyond my expectations.
