I read the Wisdom of Toads, which Ken Lamberton wrote. This is about the story of a man who is in the prison and puts family outside of the prison. He has three daughters, who are Jessica, kasondra, Melissa, and he wants to influence them as much as possible. The reasons why he spends in the prison are things that he got married with Karen When he was Karen’s teacher and she was 14 years old. In the paragraph 14 and 15, Karen went back to school of the criminal law to study the law behind his crime to save him, and the judge gives him the release on parole to live with children.
When I read it, I confused reading technical terms about the court and the judgment. I used the reading strategies “I use a dictionary to help me understand what I read” and “When text becomes difficult I re-read it to increase my understanding”. However, this text is still too difficult to read for me, even though I use two strategies. But I hound my original strategies “When unknown words increase, I take a notebook to put down and define them”. I sometimes forget the word that I defined once. Therefore, if I can look the notebook which wrote a word immediately, as for it, it is a tool helping most for me.
In the story, it surprises me that men’s conviction and his activities in the prison. As for his conviction and activities, I think they should not be allowed in the society. But I felt he is kind person from the novel. A paragraph 10 is filled his love for his children, I begun to like him as I read it. I wish he will be happy with his family.
I predict he will tell thanks which couldn't be better for Karen who is his wife. I think his temporary release is consisted of his wife’s efforts. He also understands his life in the prison is the betrayal as his wife. I expect that Karen appears in front of him. She studied the law behind his crime to save him, and she saved him temporarily from the prison. I think she is feeling pleasure.
And, I found mp3 of The wisdom of Toad.

You need to read the story more carefully. You have confused Lamberton's wife with his former student.
In paragraph two, you need to give examples of how you use these reading strategies. For example when you re-read the text, tell which sentence you had to read again.
I agree with you that he comes across as a loving father. But since he tried to run away with a fourteen year old girl, do you think you can trust young girls to be safe with him? What about his daughters?
I think his wife is feeling more than pleasure. She must love him very much to forgive him.
>>since he tried to run away with a fourteen year old girl, do you think you can trust young girls to be safe with him?
I think it is impossible to do. But, I think the love make people blind. In addition, It is remarkable for 14 years old girl in particular. In additoin again, The male teacher tends to be easy to be in love with a school girl. Perhaps, it is only Japan. However, there are a lot of same events as a novel in Japan. So I think they can not be economical safe, but they can be physical same temporaly.
